Welcome to all of the latest HOC members!

We may need to change the name to "The International Heritage Owners Club"!  8)

Hey Ya'll..I'm Smurph1 and I live in West By Gosh Virginia.. I recently stumbled into a great deal on a '85 Heritage..Not sure what model it is yet..It looks like a 'Burst Les Paul..Tone to the bone..Traded a couple of unused amps, a Gibson Les Paul BFG, and a small amount of cash..even up for it..I am absolutely ecstatic!! Have hardly slept for thwo days..This is the way the old "Holy Grail" Gibsons must have sounded..I will share more as I find out more..any ideas on what model it is?

Smurph, welcome to the HoC. Sounds like you picked up an H140, if it's from 1985. Does it have a hard horn or a soft horn? BTW, it's sorta the law that you've got to post pics. Or you'll get the dreaded TTIUWPc smiley. Join in, have fun.

Welcome :eek:ccasion14: to all of the latest newbies :newbie: !!

It is really interesting to read how enthusiastic folks are when they 'discover' how good these Heritage guitars are.  And yes, they are something to get excited about!

It has a hard horn..One quick question..I don't have a camera, I'm just a poor ol hillbilly! What do I do about that?

Do about what? No camera, the hard horn or being a hillbilly?  > :D

Congrats and Welcome Smurph!

The serial # must start with a "B"....wow...that is too cool!!!

Do you have a friend w/ a digital camera that could email you some pics?

Hey..Smurph1 here, I don't want to be a pain, but I don't have a digital camera to take photos..Does that mean I can't participate? I would really like to be a part, I just bought my '85 Heritage less than a week ago..I am curious to learn more about these awesome guitars..Any Ideas, opinions? I don't wanna be on the outside looking in just because I don't have a camera..It's a tough economy out there..Thanks Smurph1

Of course you can participate! It's really isn't mandatory to post pics. But we all love our porn, so we like to oogle everyone else's Heritage guitars. So, what color is it? Pickups, etc. That is stuff we need to know.

Thanks for that..I feel better..My Heritage is sunburst, with the SHARP horn and chrome covered 'buckers..Tone for days..Just unbelievable..Makes most Gibsons made nowadays sound like a Squier..It is a Les PAul shape, but it seems a bit thinner..(Not a backbreaker) I think it is a 150 model..Has a bound body and neck (Creme) but not the headstock..The night I got it, I woke up and went over and opened the case, just to make sure I wasn't dreaming!!LOL

Sharp horn and thinner sounds like a H140.  If you open the back of the control panel, it will say, but you have to listen real real close.  :p
