Special Invitation To New Members

Hello!!  I'm taking the new member plunge.  My name is Katie, but most of you know me as the Heritage girl.  Ive worked there for a little over 3 years now, but have been around Gibson and Heritage my entire life.  I am continuing a family tradition, both my gradfather (although for only a brief period) and my father worked for Gibson.  Then when Gibson left in 84 my dad started working for Heritage a few years later.  I had always done side work at home with my dad and use to frequent the shop on Sat mornings to help clean up.  These are not only the most knowlegable guys in the business but the most down to earth and understanding as well.  You really couldn't ask for a better group of guys and we are very fortunate to have Vince to join us.  It's really nice to view all the wonderful comments on the instruments each and every one of us at the shop take so much pride in building.  Making each and every guitar with the hope of love from it's new owner is all anyone could ever ask for.  I'm glad you guys enjoy playing them as much as we do making them.  Hope to see you all soon on the HCO tour in July.

The Girl

p.s.  BTW I almost forgot.....  I also own an Eagle and a 150LW Custom.

Welcome Katie,

I'm sure all the members will be excited to see that you have joined us.  It would be nice to hear an "insiders" point of view.  Most members here are very rabid about Heritage and extremely loyal.  Anyway,,,I babble-Welcome!

Welcome to the Club, Katie!  It's fantastic to have an actual Heritage employee here.  We'll have to send Brent over to visit you, though, because:

Katie--a BIG welcome!  8)

It's really nice to have an actual Heritage employee post here! We're glad you found us. A word of warning--we're ALL fanatics of Heritage guitars, and our sense of humor can sometimes be a little warped!

Hi Katie and Greetings from Ireland.

I hope you enjoy your time at the HOC.

It must be great to work in a guitar factory :icon_thumleft:

I can't imagine what it would be like to turn up to work every morning and be around those wonderful instruments all day.

Regards ...

Katie is that 150 in your avatar a Blueberry Burst ?

Looks very nice, but it's hard to tell from such a small pic

Welcome, Katie.  I think you will find that even when we sometimes gripe about Heritage it is done with deep affection and hope for the continuation of the tradition the company represents to us.

It's like griping about family.  You still love 'em, you just wish they'd wise up!  ;D

Katie~ Welcome aboard this listing ship of fools, me lady!  This is a very special place for Heritage-a-holics to hang out.  I am so glad you decided to hang with us.

And I do have one question for you...

How can someone who works at Heritage, ONLY have two of their guitars?  I'd have to build a room addition for all of the stuff that would follow me home from work if I worked there!  8)

Ok sorry about the no show...

Here is the Eagle.

This is the 150.  It is not blueburst it is of my own design.  Sorry boys you won't be buying this color.

It has a yellow middle with just enough blue to feather into a green.  An absolute masterpiece!!

I also added abalone dots in fret board,  abalone truss-rod cover, and inlay on head stock.

And as far as only having 2 and working, we are only allowed to buy 1 a year and I'm not sure what I want next.

So many choices when you walk your own through the line.

Thanks for the welcoming!!

Great googly mooglies, you have two very nice guitars!  The Eagle looks different without a pickguard, er, finger rest and floating pup.  I like it!

You want an H-157 in black and tan and with all nickel hardware!  No, wait, you want an H-575 Mahogany Custom with a Benedetto floater!  No, no, you want a Firebird-style BASS!!!  Hey, Heritage isn't hiring any IT people, are they?  I might consider relocating...LOL.

Beulahbones, it's just great to read the first posts of someone whose hands probably helped create my unbelievably fantastic 555. My appreciation for Heritage runs deep. Hope you'll feel at home around here. Your 150 looks unique. And the Eagle looks like it just has that good woody soulfulness of a hand-made, user friendly, genuine Kalamazoo guitar. You're among friends here. Now I'm imagining a blueberry burst Roy Clark. Or Prospect Custom, or H157 or....wow.
