Jason from Gainesville, FL here. I recently just bought my first Heritage, a 2007 GT H-150. I have been wanting Heritage since probably 95 or so, and recently have started shifting around guitars and trying to build a collection of stuff I enjoy looking at as well as playing. Seemed like a good time to jump on board, so here I am!

Hello Guys and Gals! My name is Steve, but on here I'm PrairieDude. I don't yet own a Heritage guitar, but I certainly hope to one day! I look forward to getting acquainted and learning Heritage history and lore.
As a young man, many years ago, I worked for a small acoustic guitar company that made solid wood guitars taking on the C.F. Martins of the world, so I'm pulling for the little guys!

Greetings all. Dave from Michigan here. I'm a native to the beautiful maple hardwoods of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I believe Gibson and Heritage may have used some maple from that region.
Like PrairieDude, I'm hopeful of becoming a Heritage owner. I posted a Gibson ES 347 for trade in the Non-Heritage section. I imagine I'll need to sell it to buy a Heritage, since a trade is unlikely.

Welcome. I wouldn't write off that trade/partial trade idea so easily.
Also, it seems that since Michigan is where the factory is located, there are a lot more guitar stores there which have Heritage guitars in them than in other parts of the country. So you might have an easier time of trading in ES 347 toward a Heritage locally to you.

Just saying hello - and who I am....
I've been a professional drummer for over 30 years, although I started out playing violin and guitar. I'm semi-retired from drum gigs - meaning at this stage of my life I only play gigs that I want to - in other words - with good musicians and not too far from home.
I've found myself playing gigs with some questionable guitar players - so I decided to get back into guitar and do it myself. I've been taking lessons from the local "pro" - who by the way is a great jazz player and gets called for all the major shows. My reason for taking lessons is to learn to read proficiently - and be able to slip in "adult" chords whenever possible. I want to be able to play more than 1-4-5.
That being said - I must admit that I have a long way to go to get to where I want to be - and at my age that probably won't be possible. But - I enjoy playing - which makes it all worthwhile.
I just bought a Heritage H-576 which I now consider my main guitar. It really is what I woudl consider a great guitar. It plays great - sounds great and it's construction is top of the line.I also have a Gibson ES-135 - a beautiful Gibson SST (acoustic electric that has a great neck) and two Fender Strats that never get played.

I just joined the forum as an aspiring Heritage owner. I need a semi-acoustic and have my eyes on an H535, which I'm hoping to pick up this coming week. I've tried a bunch of guitars from the big G and others, but couldn't find anything that really clicked. I'm based on London, so another of the UK community.
I'm looking forward to caring for a Heritage (for the next generation!), and contributing to the forum.
