2023 PSP Videos

Thanks, Bolero.    Mixing down the audio and editing the video is something that I enjoy doing.     I hope the other attendees will enjoy watching the videos,  remembering what a good day it was!

Super post-production as always Rich!

I love all the videos and haven't watched them all yet, but "Me and My Uncle" is my favorite so far.... I used to play that one live many years ago!  Great job, Chico!!!!!

I knew a lot of the folks at PSP, but never got the name of the fellow in red with the H575.    Can anyone fill me in on his name or handle?
I don't remember his name, but he was at the last PSP before this one and stayed till the very end.  He and I kind of jammed on some blues progressions as everyone was packing up.

That one threw me, since I have never really played any Grateful Dead and it's been at least 25 years since I've even heard that one.

These are great fun to watch.  I haven't made it through all of them yet, but they turned out well, both sound and video.

Thanks for the all of effort you put into this, Rich ... you were really multi tasking to get all of this done, including the sound equipment also.

It's so great to go back after the fact and re-experience our time in K-zoo !

I'm being a bit nitpicky about my tone... I realized I made a mistake here.  I couldn't figure out why a 15w Blues Junior sounded so much better than my 20W Marshall.

Here's something I need to keep in mind when playing live.

Volume up, gain down.

I had a couple pedals with the gain up, highly unnecessary.  Should of turned down the gain and up the volume.

A mistake I hope to learn from.

That's Jeff LaPorte. He lives south of Kalamazoo near me and we have known each other since high school. We have been getting together to do some music lately and having a lot of fun. Not sure if he has a profile on the site or not.

Very cool!    Last year,  the drummer from our band back in  75-76 contacted my bass playing buddy.   We had lost touch years ago, and I didn't realize that he lived nearby, and has been playing drums and bass guitar.  Since then,  we've gotten together for over a half dozen times just to play some tunes,  chat and have a drink.     Fun times for sure.

That's always a fun time.  Just like PSP.  Haven't seen you guys in years (hard to believe), so its always fun to get back together.

Watched the rest of the vids: nice playing everyone! DB I thought you sounded good.

I seem to recall playing "hey joe" on bass. Was it a figment of my imagination?

Finally listened to it on something other than my phone: that sounds really good, how did you record it?

I never noticed all those mics up there, did you multitrack it too?

Nice playing by everybody! And great leads Josh! I remember getting into some fun grooves with Slammer too on a few songs.

Thx for taking the time to record & edit everything Rich!
Chris, love what you did at the end of Cinnamon Girl ala Hendrix!!!

Well hey, thanks. I've never understood how people can sing & play drums at the same time? Seems it would be like jogging while trying to sing? Nice job though!

I think it’s harder to play guitar and sing at the same time!!!

There was a "technical difficulty" with Fire.   Some doofus forgot the first rule of electric guitar.... feed the cable through the strap.    His searing guitar solo became an acoustic work when he stepped on the cable and it went PLOP onto the ground.

Thankfully, being a GT Cable with the silent plug,  the audience wasn't subjected to a massive amount of noise.

When only the very best will do...

Lol! I didn't even notice that...I guess I was too focused on figuring out how to play the bass that had been thrust into my hands ?
