Thanks, Bolero. Mixing down the audio and editing the video is something that I enjoy doing. I hope the other attendees will enjoy watching the videos, remembering what a good day it was!
I don't remember his name, but he was at the last PSP before this one and stayed till the very end. He and I kind of jammed on some blues progressions as everyone was packing up.I knew a lot of the folks at PSP, but never got the name of the fellow in red with the H575. Can anyone fill me in on his name or handle?
That one threw me, since I have never really played any Grateful Dead and it's been at least 25 years since I've even heard that one.Super post-production as always Rich!
I love all the videos and haven't watched them all yet, but "Me and My Uncle" is my favorite so far.... I used to play that one live many years ago! Great job, Chico!!!!!
That's Jeff LaPorte. He lives south of Kalamazoo near me and we have known each other since high school. We have been getting together to do some music lately and having a lot of fun. Not sure if he has a profile on the site or not.I knew a lot of the folks at PSP, but never got the name of the fellow in red with the H575. Can anyone fill me in on his name or handle?
Very cool! Last year, the drummer from our band back in 75-76 contacted my bass playing buddy. We had lost touch years ago, and I didn't realize that he lived nearby, and has been playing drums and bass guitar. Since then, we've gotten together for over a half dozen times just to play some tunes, chat and have a drink. Fun times for sure. That's Jeff LaPorte. That's always a fun time. Just like PSP. Haven't seen you guys in years (hard to believe), so its always fun to get back together.Very cool! I guess I missed posting that link. You weren't hallucinating! It was Will's big vocal moment.Watched the rest of the vids: nice playing everyone! DB I thought you sounded good.
I seem to recall playing "hey joe" on bass. Was it a figment of my imagination?
Chris, love what you did at the end of Cinnamon Girl ala Hendrix!!!Finally listened to it on something other than my phone: that sounds really good, how did you record it?
I never noticed all those mics up there, did you multitrack it too?
Nice playing by everybody! And great leads Josh! I remember getting into some fun grooves with Slammer too on a few songs.
Thx for taking the time to record & edit everything Rich!
Yes!!!! Opening tune!!!Speaking of Hendrix, didn't we do "fire" too?
I think it’s harder to play guitar and sing at the same time!!!Well hey, thanks. I've never understood how people can sing & play drums at the same time? Seems it would be like jogging while trying to sing? Nice job though!
When only the very best will do...There was a "technical difficulty" with Fire. Some doofus forgot the first rule of electric guitar.... feed the cable through the strap. His searing guitar solo became an acoustic work when he stepped on the cable and it went PLOP onto the ground.
Thankfully, being a GT Cable with the silent plug, the audience wasn't subjected to a massive amount of noise.
