Special Invitation To New Members

Hello! If I can get the pics up I own two Heritage working on a third (535) still at the factory getting completed.

Been playing for over 20 years and owned a few guitars 69 Gibson LP and a 73 Black Deluxe (both missed) but Heritag has what I was missing.

Glad to be a member.

Welcome.... and nice pics

I think I have seen more left-handed players on this board than on the two or three other guitar-related boards I belong to (but don't seem to visit nearly as often any longer).

Heritages new business plan is to convert entirely to lefty guitars. Didn't you get the memo? ;D
This is a very worrying trend...

Though perhaps from a business point of view they get tax breaks for supplying the disabled ;D

In the US it's called being Section 508 Compliant. Section 508 is a whole slew of laws and regualtions designed to enable the handicapped. Or as you point out -  left handed guitar players.

My Heritages are a 1990 Johnny Smith purchased in 1990, and a recent purchase, A CM 140 All Gold which I think is from 1991.

The 140 had some Shaller stuff on it and exposed Symore Duncan Humbuckers.

I changed that out for TonePros bridge and tail piece an a set of Seth Lovers.

Result it plays fantastic and sounds great acoustically and amplified.

I will post pictures when possible.

WELCOME!!!

I AND MANY OTHERS WOULD LOVE TO SEE PICS!!

Hi, there!  I'm new to the group, just stumbled on it while searching for info on Heritage on line.  I qualify for the club by virtue of my almond sunburst H-535, which I bought barely used in 1998.  Sadly, for many of those years it sat at home in the case while my workhorse Strat went out with me on variety band gigs.  In 2006, my dear wife bought me a PRS Custom 24, a true guitar-porn quality piece, and at the time I offered to sell the Heritage to help defray the cost.  Thankfully, I never got around to it because just recently I picked up some trio work, doing standards, ballads and your basic dinner/banquet/anniversary party gigs, and the Heritage is the perfect guitar for the job.  You can almost sense how happy the guitar is to be working.  Well, maybe that's a stretch, but I'm sure happy to be working!  ;D  Thanks for the welcome, and to whoever does all the work around here.  I'll be poking around to see what I can learn and putting my two cents in from time to time.

Thanks for the warm welcome, folks.  I promise to get around to taking a picture of the 535 and posting it, but can't get to it right now.

Welcome Jawn.  I too find that my Heritages like to be out of the case.  I quit playing for 9 years.  Now I am on the road to recovery.

My name is Jukka and I live near Pittsburgh, Pa. I bought my first Heritage guitar, a used 1996 H-575 sunburst, earlier tonight. So far so good. The one thing that has me scratching my head is, the seller showed me his original receipt from when he bought the guitar new, from Woodsy's Music in Kent OH in 2005. Where was this guitar for the first 9 years?

Welcome Jukka.  You will like the people here.

Some guitars don't sell and sit in store rooms for years.  It may have come from a mom-n-pop store that closed down long ago or it may have been sitting in a closet at the Heritage factory forgotten for some time.  Who knows.  :)   I am sure you will enjoy that guitar.  (I have the acoustic version of that guitar, and even though it is a factory second, it spends it's spare time in my camera safe.)

Welcome JUKKA!

The first Heritage i ever bought sat in a store for like 3 years and i bought it new.  wish i still had it ;D
